according to wikipedia: Cabbage can be started indoors or sowed directly. Like all brassicae, cabbage is a cool season crop, so early and late plantings do better than those maturing in the heat of the summer.
Reply:yes cabbage will grow well in canada unless you are to far north. if you have a celler it will keep well for months, cabbage is a heavy feeder and needs lot of good fertlizer.
Reply:No. But it is impossible to grow in the Canadian winter climate. If you want easy just grow it at the local supermarket.
