How to dry Cabbage Patch dolls?

It was recommended that I put them in a pillow case to wash in the machine, but if I do that, how do I dry them? I don't want their plastic heads to melt in the dryer, but I don't want to leave them wet and catch mildew either.

their heads will not melt in the dryer . . I wash my girl's dolls in the washer and dry in dryer . . use medium heat setting . . they will be fine
Reply:I'd take it to a dry cleaner. But if you do wash it at home, maybe wrap it in cheese cloth and set it in a dry area like a closet to completely dry out, the cloth will keep dust and stuff off of it, but let it "breathe".
Reply:I must agree with the first answer you got. I tried a similar doll and hung it on the clothes line. A few days later it was smelly and mildewy inside and i had to toss it out. I ruined it. It's worth the money for the dry cleaners
