I will be makin stuffed cabbage. The recipe asked for a Savoy cabbage. What other cabbage can I use ?

Regular head of green cabbabge will do just fine.Honest we've used it for years tastes great.

You can substitute plain cabbage. If you dip the cabbage in boiling water for a few seconds, you can mold it around your filling quite easily. Then use a tomato sauce to add a little "zip" to your dish!

Reply:Green cabbage will work but Savoy is so much better!
Reply:I have always used the regular green cabbage. Just cut out the core and steam whole head until slightly tender. Cool and remove leaves, stuff. The steaming makes the leaves more flexible to wrap.
