i would like the recipe for the vege roll, its small and has cabbage in it, good dipped in soy sauce. the recipes i found has rice and tomatoes and other stuff in them. would like to no what kind of shell on outside of them. Looked at a lot of recipes for them, but not the right ones. The peking in mcminnville tn, has them on the back bar. Would like recipe for them.

I recently made some with chinese cabbage cut fine reseving the outer leaves. Cooked the cabbage n a pan first in butter and S+P but also with some white wine and duck stock. I steamed the outer leaves and used the cut cabbage to stuff the full leaves and wrapped cheese cloth around the whole thing to form a ball, squeezed out the moisture and slow baked them in a pan with some of the cooking liqid. Held their shape and looked gfreat on a plate. Spice it up anyway you want. G.L.
