How long does it take for cabbage to go bad?

It is organic ( if that makes any difference). I bought it on Dec 29 06 and it still looks good, but I don't want to take any chances cause it's for my toddler. I forgot that i had it and it does not have an expiration date on it.

Cabbage may be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 weeks. If you want to use it after that, trim all of the outer leaves and you can freeze it for soups or stews.
Reply:depends where you've kept it - if it looks OK and feels "crunchy", then it will be OK - you might need to trim the outer leaves to get to the protected, tasty heart
Reply:hi there; I think that it would make a difference if it was organic as far as the shelf life goes.And wondering to keep it or toss it they say" When in doubt throw it out"....I would really toss it cause its not worth getting sick on; besides cabbage doesn't cost that much..Happy Health To You and Your Family
Reply:Dec. 29th is a long time to have cabbage in your fridge. I'd toss it to be on the safe side.

Reply:Cabbage is pretty hearty and keeps for a long time! If it doesn't have any black spots on it (mould) or isn't watery, you're fine.
