Your darker, leafy lettuces (such as romaine) have fiber and nutrients, but cabbage, overall, has more in the way of fiber and health benefits. (Iceberg lettuce, in case you don't know, has zero in the way of anything...though it remains a very popular lettuce.)

In place of any lettuce salad, try shredded cabbage (or a mix of shredded cabbage/carrots/broccoli, etc., whatever is to your liking. Shredded cabbage alone in a salad is very crunchy and has taste. (According to your tastes, you may find it better with one dressing over another, say ranch over blue cheese--whatever.)

I got an anti-cabbage eater to adore a salad of shredded cabbage, shredded carrots, toasted sunflower seeds, sliced black olives and a sprinkling of hard chow mein noodles. They liked it with ranch dressing. (On regular salads, they used to prefer Thousand Island.)

Have fun experimenting...while remembering that cabbage is best in regard to nutrition.
Reply:Two different things actually....

would you put cabbage on your tuna sandwich or fry lettuce with your kielbasa?
Reply:lettuce hands down. There is not even any competition when it comes to that. What is the difference? Words cant describe the way lettuce makes me feel. I guess its just one of those things that you have to experience. I hope everything works out and you can find out the answer this question through hard work and revelation.
Reply:I like cabbage. I used to like lettuce but I don't know what happened.
