Apparently there are lots of paid sites but I just want the official cabbage soup diet, not a paid copycat. Anyone got it from their doctor??

The cabbage soup diet is known to be extremely bad for you if you stay on it. All it consists of is cabbage boiled in water. People on this are literally starving themselves and it has been shown to be dangerous. Please be careful.

Reply:You'll never have a doctor or anyone else who knows what they're talking about tell you to go on the cabbage soup diet. Its unhealthy and can be dangerous. If you only eat soup you might as well be drinking flavored water. You won't get the calories you need, you won't get any nutrients you need and when all is said and done, you'll be in a hospital where they'll force feed you until you gain all your weight back.

Losing weight is a simple equation: if you burn more calories than you eat, the weight will come off. Start off by estimating how many calories you burn each day using the calorie calculator http://straighthealth.com/pages/tools/ca... This will give you an idea of how many calories to eat. Healthy weight loss is 1-2 pounds per week. To lose 1 pound per week you need to create a calorie deficit (burn more than you eat) of 500 calories per day. To lose 2 pounds a week, you have to double the deficit to 1000 calories per day. You can achieve this by eating less, exercising more or a combination of both.
