When making corned beef and cabbage, do I use the liquid brine it came in with my water when cooking?

I have always used it....just adds more to the flavor...
When making corned beef and cabbage, do I use the liquid brine it came in with my water when cooking?
Your choice but do not serve with liquid after cooking unless you like really salty food.
Reply:i wouldn't but everybody is different.
Reply:I normal don't, I rinse it off.
Reply:I made some yesterday and the directions on the package said to use the juice that was in the package with the meat. I guess it is personal preference on whether to wash the cut off or use the brine. I opted to use it yesterday for the first time and it cooked well. Either way is fine.
