Is cabbage and lettuce poison to a peach front concur?

I was told that cabbage and lettuce is deadly to my conure. Some ppl tell me it's cabbage and others say it's lettuce. Are both deadly or is it just one?

Most veggies and fruits are safe for birds to eat. The only foods you should not feed your pet bird are chocolate, avocado, alcoholic beverages and caffeinated beverages. High fat and salty foods should also be avoided. I have personally fed my conure lettuce and had no adverse effects.
Reply:I never heard of that one but I do know that avocados are deadly for pet birds. I have a brown headed parrot that eats cabbage and lettuce so it is news to me. There are many good websites explaining what and what not to feed pet birds. Good Luck!
Reply:well i'm not sure i wouldn't think so but i know how u can find out. Call the person u bought it from or try to find conures on a website. maybe conures.com or u could call the local zoo aviary section or u could call ur local chapter of the audobon society.
