By what name brussel sprouts are known in India? Is it same as cabbage?
brussels sprout is known as brussels sprout in India. and it is not cabbage.

I like the French name Chou Chous...a term of endearment for your sweetheart and a name for brussel sprouts too.
Reply:I'm not sure there is another name for them. They are basically a very small bite size cabbage, although they have a flavor of their own.

The Brussels (or brussels or brussel) sprout (Brassica oleracea Gemmifera Group) is a cultivar group of Wild Cabbage cultivated for its small (typically 2.5 - 4cm, 1 - 1.5 inches diameter) leafy green heads, which resemble miniature cabbages. The name stems from the original place of cultivation, not because of the vegetable's popularity in Brussels.
