I'm thinking of adding some cajun seasoning to my corned beef and cabbage?
No. My God, every dead Irishman would flip over in his grave-lol.
Reply:yes that sounds great to me.
Reply:Do it ..it will be great!
nfd?
Reply:maybe just a little BAM! to kick it up a notch. not too much, just one notch.
Reply:I always say a little bit of spice never hurt anyone. I don't think it will be considered authentic, but if you think it's good go for it.
Reply:When I make it I add the following....
Carrots
New Potatoes
Onion
1 Big Can of Guiness
Cardamom
couple Garlic Cloves
Then take some of your leftover liquid and reduce it down
about halfway or a little more and add some dijon mustard
and it makes a really yummy sauce to serve it in!
....
My Ex Mother-in-Law always added a pouch of the
Old Bay boil in bag seasoning to hers...and it was good too.
Reply:That's a great idea. Just don't use too much. You can use unique seasonings from different countries to give everything a real kick. I like to add Curry to vegetable stew.
KURTZ
Reply:It could work,just not too much. :)
Reply:Do it mate! I am personally a huge fan of anything with heat in it, so I may be the wrong person to answer this! I would so do it!
Mind you, it does seem like a kind of scary prospect, so maybe start off with hot English mustard as a condiment and work upwards (it has to be HOT ENGLISH mustard though, preferably Master foods brand, but whatever you can get your hands on I suppose!)
Reply:I say yes, I use Tony Chachere's (orignal) Creole seasoning, I put it everything!!
Reply:i have tryed it with cajun seasoning. it is very good if your taste buds are up to it.
